AI is not just another buzzword in marketing. It’s changed how top brands operate.
Here are insights from Gartner’s report “AI in Marketing: The Future of Smart Marketing” — paired with my personal experiences.
1. “Text generators can create marketing copy, news stories and job descriptions. Short-form content like subject line creation can support A/B testing” ~ Gartner
From my personal experience, the variety and volume of ad copy and marketing content generated by tools like ChatGPT is truly remarkable. Exploring so many creative angles manually would take a significant amount of time — Generative AI has accelerated that process dramatically.
2. “Images can be generated for logos; human images can be generated for modeling; and images can be altered for different poses, aging and many other aspects” ~ Gartner
With the right prompt engineering skills, Generative AI tools can deliver exceptional image outputs. I’ve experienced this first hand using Adobe Firefly and Midjourney — the results are impressive when you know how to guide the tools effectively.
3. “Ads can be optimized by assembling content artifacts into combinations to support personalization” ~Gartner
Content artifacts like headlines, descriptions, primary text, and call-to-action buttons can be mixed and matched to create tailored ad variations for different personas — such as one for men, another for women, and another for gifting. This is called personalization, and it significantly improves ad performance.
This AI shift isn’t coming. It’s already here.
Let’s embrace it.
