Brand Awareness: The Foundation of Every Successful Business
Brand awareness is about making the right prospects aware that we exist and that we solve their specific problem.
How do you achieve that?
Before jumping into execution, ask yourself these million-dollar questions:
- Where is my customer?
- Which platforms do they hang out on?
- Where do they go to solve their problems?
Once you answer these, selecting the right platforms and focusing your efforts becomes a no-brainer.
I’m sharing both Organic and Paid methods to build brand awareness:
Organic Methods
1. Social Media Presence
Leverage YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and Pinterest.
2. Communities & Forums
Answer user queries and naturally position your product/service as a solution.
- Which community should you join? It depends on your industry and where your audience spends time.
- Popular Communities – Reddit, Quora, Slack, LinkedIn Groups, Facebook Groups, Discord, and niche private communities
Paid Methods
1. Paid Ads
Run Brand Awareness campaigns (video & image creatives) on:
- YouTube
- Google Display Network
- Facebook & Instagram
- X (Twitter)
- Quora
👉 How to choose the right platform?
Ask yourself:
- Where is your customer?
- What’s your budget and resources?
- What’s your product price & margins?
For example, if you sell a low-ticket product with thin margins, LinkedIn may not be the best platform due to high ad costs.
2. Brand Keyword Ads (Google Search Ads)
Let’s say your company is “ABC Kart,” and you sell ethnic men’s and women’s clothing. Running ads on brand-specific keywords like:
- ABC Kart Men’s Ethnic Wear
- ABC Kart Women’s Ethnic Wear
- ABC Kart Kurta Pajama
This helps you rank higher when users search for your brand. Use Google Search Console and Google Keyword Planner to identify the right brand keywords.
3. Influencer Collaborations
Influencers don’t drive instant conversions—but they do increase brand awareness.
How do you measure impact?
If your organic traffic or conversions increase during or after the influencer campaign, it’s working.
4. Sponsorships
Sponsor events, festivals, concerts, fairs, and exhibitions in your niche to boost brand awareness.
How to measure success?
Track organic results.
5. Podcasts
Being featured on podcasts with niche creators helps drive long-term brand awareness.
How to measure impact?
Organic traffic & engagement
6. Offline Marketing
Leverage billboards, trade shows, events, newspapers, and PR to enhance brand recall.
Brand awareness isn’t just about visibility—it’s about being remembered when your ideal customer is ready to buy.
