Yes, you only have 3 seconds.
That’s all it takes to either capture attention—or lose it.
If the hook in your video doesn’t spark curiosity within 3 seconds, the user is gone.
So, how do you craft a hook that actually retains attention?
From my experience, two things consistently work as thumb rules:
✅ A compelling question
✅ A strong value proposition
Before you scale any creative—test the hook.
Because the hook decides whether your ad gets watched or skipped.
If people don’t stop → they won’t listen → and they’ll never convert.
Your first 3 seconds are the most crucial.
Nail them, and everything else follows.
